Gun Instructor Ignores Accidental Weapon Discharge. Student asks, “Did you mean to do that?” [Video]
Every person who’s trained to use a firearm knows them. There are rules that you do not break. If you do, you’re putting your life and the lives of those around you in danger. For people that have been around guns from an early age, the rules are not only gospel, they’re instinctive.
Although there is an extensive list of firearm safety and etiquette rules to learn and follow, there are several at the top of the list that should be as instinctive as knowing your right and your left hand.
- Never point a weapon at anything you don’t intend to kill.
- Always keep your weapon pointed down range.
- Never place your finger on the trigger unless you intend to shoot.
This is far from a complete list; just a few of the basic rules meant to keep you and those around you alive. It’s hard to believe but the instructor in the video below manages to break all three of these rules in a matter of just a few seconds. And he’s teaching a class, presumably on gun safety.
